The charm of the "Holunderzeit" Suite lies in its carefully preserved original wood beams that have been restored to their former glory. These exposed beams add a touch of rustic elegance, seamlessly blending history with contemporary comfort. Guests also appreciate the added privacy provided by the two separate bedrooms—a sought-after feature for friends, family, or colleagues seeking comfort and space. Though some of the suites have separate / partitioned sleeping areas, this is the only suite with 2 bedrooms behind doors. In October 2023 a second suite with two bedrooms will become available: Einarmige Engle.

Historical Relevance and Color Palette:

The "Holunderzeit" Suite is a homage to the past, echoing the historical significance of the castle and its surroundings. It captures the spirit of a bygone era, offering a blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. The exposed and restored original wood beams harken back to the craftsmanship of yesteryears, immersing guests in the rich history of the space they inhabit.

In keeping with the suite's name, "Holunderzeit" (Elderflower Time), the color palette is carefully curated to reflect the hues of elderflowers. Elderflowers are known for their dark purple skin exterior and leaves that leave behind a distinctive turquoise stain. These unique colors, pops of lilac and turquoise, infuse the suite with a sense of vibrancy and whimsy. Set against the warm white walls and the natural tones of the exposed wood beams, the suite offers a harmonious balance between past and present, tradition and innovation.

Immerse Yourself in Leonie's World:

The "Holunderzeit" Suite draws inspiration from the novel of the same name by Leonie Ossowski. The novel weaves a tale of Anna, a successful journalist in Berlin, whose past catches up with her after four decades. The story delves into conflicts with her daughter and unexpected reunions with figures from her history. Just as Ossowski's writing brings characters to life, this suite encapsulates the essence of Anna's journey, offering a haven for those seeking comfort and connection.
