In general, here's what they can offer:

Cheese Box (from cow’s milk) including a range of rounds and wedges with such goodies as smoked cheese, mozzarella (it's incredible), cottage cheese (delish at breakie), white cheese with black garlic, cheese with basil-tomato, and blue cheese (to die for), not to mention some of the best mascarpone you’ve ever had - burrata camembert-and-brie-style cheeses. Just let us know what interests you and we’ll prepare a box with a variety in that style.

For lovely of goat cheese, several varieties of mild-tasting rounds are available i.e. tomato and basil. sunflower seed, and Love-in-a-mist.

Fresh Milk and Butter may be delivered fresh, and its some of the best you’ll ever have. The milk is raw (unpasteurised) and around 4.2 % fat. The butter is light and spreads like a dream. For gastronomes - this butter is ideal for whipping and flavouring with sea salt and fresh herbs. Possibilities for ordering fresh goat milk also exist.

Fresh, free-range eggs are brought to the castle courtesy of happy chickens along with (incredible) potatoes and carrots (when in season) from the neighbouring farm. The quantity of fresh laid eggs often depends on the time of year, as chickens decrease production in very-hot and very-cold weather. Eggs are delivered in upcycled-cartons of 10 eggs each.

Local preserves such as homemade pickles from the farm, beet salads, spiced carrots, pumpkin and cranberry sauce, raspberry and blueberry jams may be stocked to make your mealtimes easier (and tastier too!). Not only to be enjoyed while here though: note that these make lovely souvenirs for you and yours to take home and gift to friends who could not join in the fun at the castle. Variety depends on seasonality of produce.

Local craft beer (unpasteurised and unfiltered) may be ordered in an assortment of seasonal lagers, IPA, wit beers, and ales. These are brews that you will not find in the grocers but rather at specialty pubs and of course, the castle cellar offering. So, instead of drinking what you are used to from home, why not try something local instead from the dynamic brotherly duo behind Psotnik Brewery.

Local schnapps from the fruits of the village can be provided - currently this season offers Elderberry Flower Schnapps, Chokeberry, and Red Currant.

Hand-roasted artisanal Coffee from nearby G-Coffee in Wroclaw is often cited the city’s best roastery and we have it delivered to our door by the bag (kilo / 2.2 lb). We have a professional espresso machine in the kitchen that we are happy to show the barista’s among your group how to use. If you’re a coffee aficionado, let us know.

Fresh Baked Artisanal Cakes and Sweets may be delivered to the castle kitchen ahead of any celebratory occasions you may have planned. We live across from one of the best bakers in the region and she can make and deliver just about anything. Her gluten-free desserts are a dream, her macarons rival those of Paris, and the Sangria Cakes are a particular favourite of our guests.

Fresh caught fish such as trout and pike is available from our lakes and provided by the town fish mongers straight from their boats. Please enquire as to seasonality and possibilities. Market prices apply here and change daily depending on the catch and preparation required. We can also highly recommend locally smoked trout, a popular regional delight synonymous with summer.

Smoked Sausages are available with a much-in-advance order as they are in high demand. Made with local, integral, and sustainable pork and flavoured naturally (and smoked by hand in small batches) these are absolutely delectable and one-of-a-kind.

Fresh Fruit and Vegetables such as 100% organic and pesticide-free heritage apples (papierówki), pears, plums, apricots, cherries, red and black currants are available depending on seasonality. The same goes for potatoes, cucumbers, leeks, onions, cabbage, tomatoes, and edible flowers from our garden. These are typically offered by at a flat rate per-person-per-day seasonally.

For quantities…

Not sure how much to order of everything? The below is intended to give you a rough guideline.

Cheese, budget 50 g per person per meal

Milk - depends on your coffee, tea, and baking habits. Often our groups order 4 - 8 L (gallon or two) for a several day stay

Butter - budget one and a half to two blocks per meal for bread, toast, etc., and more for baking or cooking needs

Eggs - budget two per person per breakfast. Not everyone will eat them and the rest can be used in cooking. It depends also on how the chickens feel. The colder it is, the less that they lay, but our winters have been very mild and production is booming year round.

Potatoes 175-225 g - per person per meal because at the end of the day, people want carbs and comfort food. The potatoes from our garden cook like a dream and ideally prepared in potatoes salad, hash browns, or as roast potatoes, gnocchi, and steak fries.

Preserves - 6-9 large jars for the group for the duration of the stay works (can be different pickle varieties, beets salad, carrot salad, carrots stewed in tomato sauce, etc.) In addition to this smaller jars make for great take-home gifts.

Jams - best to go with 6-9 jars as well (raspberry, strawberry, local marmalade, chocolate and plum, rhubarb, blueberry or black current for example). Additional small jars may also be offered here as souvenirs.

Beer and Schnapps is up to you.

Coffee Beans - a 1 kilo bag (2.2 lbs) yields around 60 strong coffees, cappuccino’s lattes, or double espressos. If your groups likes weaker coffee, you can double this amount.

Fish - 150 to 225 g per person per meal

Smoked Sausages - 1 - 1 1/2 per person is ideal.

In addition to the above: there is a local mini-grocer / convenience store within a 5 minute walk - called Lewitan offering meat, crisps/chips, and chocolates.

At the end of the castle roadway is a small convenience shop for last minute items (toiletries, chips, etc). This is great for a quick shop or emergency, For a full-assortment of groceries, we suggest Lidl in Wschowa (3 km away). Please note stores are closed on Sundays and Holidays.

And, should your group not wish to cook each day, here is a listing of some of our local restaurant recommendations. A dinner out in Leszno is highly suggested (beautiful old market town). The picturesque restaurant Zelona Antresola in Leszno is exceptionally charming and capable of dealing with groups of 3-30+. That said, it often books well in advance, so a prior reservation is necessary regardless of the time of year. Should you need help making the reservation, please let us know.
